Veterinary medical device used to cut animal bones during surgery

This product is an animal saw developed in collaboration with Dr. Harada of Nippon Veterinary and Life Science University.
The thickness of the saw is thinner than that of the current Patella saw, yet it has a firm cutting sharpness that can withstand the bones of large dogs.

Please tell us about your business outline.
Orthopedic surgeon for cats and dogs.
What made you decide to contact us?
I was introduced by one of my patients who was working for a company having a business with DENTECH. He mediated for me and I started to make requests.
What concerns did you face before contacting us?
What troubled me the most was that there were no companies willing to listen to me. It seemed that many companies could not make prototypes unless they had the technology to begin with. The veterinarian world is not that big, but I tried to talk to other companies, but there was no reaction at all, and we never got to the point of commercialization.
Why did you decide to work with us?
DENTECH listen to a lot of things that surprise me. I talk to other companies, but they just seem to be listening and don't seem to be motivated. Many of them just listen and later contact me with reasons for refusal. In this respect, DENTECH is very accommodating and listens to me even when other companies don't listen to me.
What are your impressions of our services and products?
I am very satisfied with the quality of the product. Especially for sharpness, I like the point where the blade properly bites into the bone. We wanted to overcome the difficulty in using it, but we came up with several ideas and made prototypes, and in the end we were able to make it easy to use. At the same time, I'm impressed that DENTECH has an established sales network. When I mentioned this to a doctor I know, he told me that I could purchase the product online. That made me happy, too. I think it's not easy to make a prototype and then get approval, but I'm very grateful that DENTECH has such a system firmly in place. The process of getting government approval for new products and selling them has been established, so I think it's good that the process goes smoothly when we work with DENTECH. In the case of foreign products, there are often products that are not sold in Japan. Even if you recommend a product to someone you know, they may not know how to purchase it, or the procedure may be complicated. In addition, when you make a presentation at an academic conference, you may have to deal with the problem that the product is not yet approved when you announce that you are using it. I'm very happy to see that DENTECH is developing new products and getting them approved by the government, which means that they are safe and secure.
What are your expectations of us in the future?
I'm not sure if it's a request, but DENTECH has been really good to me. We look forward to a more lasting relationship with you in the future.
